The beginning of the change in our block
There are no single-family homes on our block currently for sale, although there are condos

Stately Victorian townhome, restored with care with modern amenities. The view from the front is the green courtyard and American Elm of Shiloh Baptist Church, designed by Furness & Hewitt. Three bedrooms and den, central air, newer ceramic tile kitchen and baths -- one with original claw-foot tub.

(The way we were in 2001 -- times have changed a bit since then)
