Housing Counseling Services

SOSNA is an integrated multicultural organization representative of the community it serves. SOSNA has promoted and implemented affordable housing development. SOSNA offers Housing Counseling services funded by The Office of Housing and Community Development of Philadelphia:

    • Prepurchase counseling
    • Tenant counseling
    • Rental delinquency counseling
    • Post purchase counseling
    • Anti-predatory lending counseling
    • Housing consumer education (money management and credit repair)
    • Deed-related problems

Your total annual household income cannot be more than the income limits. See chart on the right. For those who are interested in the Settlement Grant program, eligibility requirements include:

  • You are a first-time homebuyer
  • You participate in housing counseling
  • You must be counseled before signing an agreement of sale
  • You buy a home within the City of Philadelphia and qualify for a mortgage.
