"Forgotten Structure"
Committee Gleanings:
The space selected by Delaware Valley University for this year's show is Mayan and the environment is tropical. With this combination, this segment of the Wonder of Water is presented as a three dimensional process; the power of water to tear down, renew and sustain life. The project was synchronized with the academic calendar. It began in mid-August and plant selections were underway by mid-September. As in the past, the exhibit strives to marry the educational message of DVU with the physical form on the floor of the flower show. The project engaged the energy and enthusiasm of nine students and two faculty members. The work involved nearly 2,000 hours of construction. Deconstruction will take about two hours.
Exhibitor Description:
The persistent single drop of water is an unstoppable force carving its way through our abandoned ruins. That same force carves a path for new life, new life born through water's capacity to nurture and rejuvenate. Water calms, inspires, and heals the mind and body. Experience our Forgotten Structure and the capacity of water to bring forth anew!
